Doctoral studies of Management are focused on preparing the participants for high-level research, according to international standards. The study programme emphasizes methodological and theoretical knowledge, along with science development processes. The ultimate goal of the programme is to create and develop a scientific and research pool required for improving the academic community, or for pursuing a career in the corporate world.
During their studies, participants in the proposed programme will be involved in competitive scientific research whose results are to be processed and presented in a dissertation. The intention is to conduct such research in private and public sector, in cooperation with other scientific institutions, especially our international partners from Hungary, Germany and Poland.
Oblik održavanja predavanja jedan tjedan u mjesecu (subota i nedjelja su slobodni) omogućava studentima u Osijeku i našim centrima u Slavonskom Brodu i Poreču posjećivanje predavanja i održavanja međusobnih prijateljskih veza i suradnje. Obnovljeni i modernizirani Ekonomski fakultet u Osijeku pruža mogućnost korištenja informacijske tehnologije.
Prerequisites for enrolment, especially for applicants who have obtained their qualifications in the previous university system prior to 2005 Conditions for entering the graduate doctoral programme in Management at the Faculty of Economy in Osijek are laid down in the Regulations on Doctoral Programmes.
Students who completed a relevant MA programme and collected at least 300 ECTS credits may enter the doctoral programme. The doctoral programme is also open to students who completed programmes prior to the academic year 2009/2010, provided they meet the criteria laid down in the study programme, i.e:
Doctoral university studies last three years, i.e. six semesters. Classes are held during the first semester, and the remaining semesters 2-6 should be dedicated to research work, writing a dissertation and extracurricular activities. During doctoral studies, ECTS credits are acquired through activities categorized in six groups, the first four being obligatory and the last two supplementary. Obligatory activities:
In each obligatory activity group students have to earn a minimum of ECTS credits. Since the sum of minimum ECTS credits is 140, it follows that the remaining 40 credits have to be earned in the same activity groups or in supplementary activities. For example, a student can earn all the remaining 40 credits by supplementary activities (professional activities 10 + teaching activities 30) or by other scientific training, as this group can bring a maximum of 100 credits (40 more than the required minimum).
In addition, those 40 credits can be earned by a combination of different activities, e.g. 10 from elective modules, 10 from other scientific training, 10 from scientific presentation, 5 from professional activities, and 5 from teaching activities. It is possible for a student to earn through research and other activities more ECTS credits than the maximum stated in the table, however, in the total of 180 ECTS credits no activity group can account for more than the maximum stated for this particular group.
Supplementary activities are optional, but students can engage in such activities and thus earn their credits, up to the maximum amount as stated in the table.
